You'll Find Us. . . .

Cool and sun dappled, and in no great hurry.  We offer a refreshing change from a frenetic pace or a less than friendly environment.  At 3,500 feet elevation, Panther Ridge overlooks an ancient high valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains where a band of Cherokee from the Lower Towns spent their summers and cultivated their maize and pumpkins in this land before time.

We Are. . . .

Centrally located.  In the heart of the "Land of the Waterfalls", a region of magnificent mountain scenery including hundreds of cascading streams that splash and tumble through shaded hollows, then glide along like silvery ribbons only to dive and jump and run again.  To help you find some of these lovely waterfalls Mark Morrison's Waterfall Walks and Drives... and Jim Bob Tinsley's The Land of Waterfalls are available at Toxaway Falls Stand.  For more information on this unique souvenir and gift shop, click on the more info button at the top of the page.

Where are we??

Panther Ridge is located on Slick Fisher Road.  To get there, take U.S. 64 east from Cashiers, or west from Brevard, NC.  Travel to Lake Toxaway to Highway 281 NORTH (do not take 281 south at Sapphire).  Follow 281 north about a mile and a half to Slick Fisher Road which turns to the left just after the Post Office on the right and North Toxaway grocery and restaurant on the left.  Follow Slick Fisher Road about a mile and a half to the entrance sign shown above.  Click HERE for a Map.

Toxaway Falls Stand is located on U.S. Highway 64, just east of Toxaway Falls.

Pounding Branch Campground is about a half mile south of Panther Ridge on the same road (Slick Fisher Road).
